Frequently asked questions

Can we purchase just the camera?

We sell the AI Vision System as a set: the 3D Camera plus the Eureka Controller with our software pre-installed. That's what makes it plug-and-play, so you can start bin picking within hours of setup.

Selling the camera on its own would lose that benefit, so we currently don't offer it.

Is the camera made by Eureka?

Yes. The Eureka 3D Camera is proprietary and manufactured exclusively for Eureka Robotics.

How can the camera be installed?

Either on the robot's end effector ("eye-in-hand") or fixed above the bin, depending on what's best for the application. Fixed mounting is typically 1 to 2 seconds faster per pick.

What technology does the camera use?

Stereo vision, which is robust and affordable, with AI solving the stereo matching problem. For parts that need it, such as black parts without surface structure, structured light can be added.
